Entered at friendly price. 9 large photos. Here is an interesting pair of mad scientist looking 2x binocular eyeglasses. Aus jena, germany. They are vintage. I'm not sure of the age. Maybe mid 1900's?
. The two lens systems are adjustable along the horizontal plane (best seen in photos #2, #6, and #7). So they can eb adjusted to anybody's eye-width.
When wearing the 'bino-glasses'. The focal point is about 8-10 inches in front of your nose. So i guess these should be worn slightly down the bridge of your nose if you are moving around. Unless you are busily inspecting your favorite close-up subject. The original temples have been replaced by copper wire with a toggle for adjustability on the head.
I don't know why. But the original screws coem with this setup. The metal of the glasses is nickel lpated brass. The lenses rae glass. There are a few very minor scratches on the lenses.
